| **Direction** | Receive — Cogno reads your calendar (read-only) so the **Notetaker** can join meetings. |
| **Connect with** | Google sign-in — **each member connects their own calendar**. |
| **Who can set up** | Every member, for themselves. It is not a workspace-wide switch. |
| **You'll need** | A Google account with the Google Meet meetings you want recorded. |

Connect your Google Calendar and the **Cogno Notetaker** joins your Google Meet meetings for you — recording and transcribing them so the discussion becomes searchable **Meetings** and **proposed tasks**. You keep taking meetings as usual; Cogno handles the note-taking and the follow-ups.

## What this does

Cogno watches your calendar for events with a Google Meet link and automatically sends the **Notetaker** to join them. After each meeting, the transcript becomes a **Meeting** in Cogno, and action items surface as proposed tasks. Cogno only reads your calendar — it never edits your events.

## Before you start

* You can open **Settings** in the target workspace.
* You're signed in to the Google account whose meetings you want recorded.

## Connect your Google Calendar

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the integration">
    Open **Settings → Integrations** and select **Google Calendar**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start the connection">
    Click **Connect my Google Calendar**. Cogno opens Google sign-in in a new tab.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Approve in Google">
    Sign in and grant access. Google returns you to Cogno, which shows **Waiting for Google authorization…** until the connection registers.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm your connection">
    Under **Your connection**, Cogno shows your Google email, the status, and the last sync time.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  This connection is **per member** — connecting yours records the meetings on *your* calendar. Teammates connect their own from the same page.
</Note>

## See who's connected

The **Workspace members** section lists everyone in the workspace and whether they've connected their Google Calendar, with a **You** badge on your own row. Use it to see who's covered by the Notetaker.

## Disconnect

Under **Your connection**, click **Disconnect** and confirm.

<Warning>
  Disconnecting stops automatic sync and auto-join. The Notetaker will no longer join your upcoming meetings until you reconnect.
</Warning>
