Open Settings → Billing to review the workspace plan and manage its Business Subscription. Workspace Owners upgrade from the Upgrade page or directly from Settings → Billing.

Prerequisites

  • Select the workspace whose billing you want to review.
  • You must be a workspace Owner to start checkout or open billing management.

Free plan limits

Free workspaces have monthly and daily allowances; Business workspaces have none. The Upgrade page lists them side by side:

Meeting allowance

Free workspaces can use the Notetaker for 100 minutes per UTC calendar month. The same allowance covers both ways Cogno sends the Notetaker:
  • A workspace member pastes a meeting URL and sends the Notetaker.
  • Cogno sends the Notetaker from a connected Google Calendar.
Workspace Owners see a warning once usage reaches 80 minutes. At 100 minutes, Cogno does not send a new Notetaker until the next UTC calendar month. Recordings captured by the desktop app do not use this allowance. See Meetings for the recording workflows.

Event allowance

Free workspaces process up to 50 Events per day from connected sources. Owners are warned as usage approaches the limit; at the limit, new Tasks are no longer created automatically until the counter resets (daily, UTC).

Upgrade to Business

On a Free workspace, Owners see Upgrade to Business above their profile at the bottom of the sidebar. It opens the Upgrade page, which compares Free and Business. Settings → Billing also shows an Upgrade to Business card with the same checkout controls.
1

Open Upgrade

Select Upgrade to Business from the sidebar, or open Settings → Billing.
2

Choose a billing interval

Select Monthly or Annual. The annual toggle shows how many months you save, and the price summary shows the per-person price times your billable member count. The final price is shown at checkout.
3

Continue to checkout

Select Continue to checkout and complete payment. When you return, Cogno activates Business — if activation is still processing, check Settings → Billing again in a few minutes.
If you return without completing payment and start again with a different billing interval, Cogno reports that another checkout is already in progress — reopen the same interval to continue it, or wait for it to expire.
After a sales conversation, your Cogno contact may send a payment link of the form cogno.studio/checkout/<token>. Opening it (and signing in, if needed) shows a Continue to payment page that starts checkout for the agreed plan — including any agreed discount. Each link is single-use and expires. If the page says the link has expired, been used, or is no longer valid, ask your Cogno contact for a new one.

Manage Business billing

When Current plan shows Business, select Manage billing to update the payment method, review invoices, or manage cancellation.

Review a scheduled cancellation

After you schedule cancellation at the end of the billing period, Current plan remains Business and the card shows Cancellation scheduledBusiness remains active until the displayed date. Select Manage billing to review or change the cancellation before Business ends.

Resolve a payment issue

If the latest payment fails, Settings → Billing shows Payment issue with the date through which Business remains available.
1

Check the deadline

Read the deadline in the payment alert.
2

Update the payment method

Select Manage billing and update the payment method before the deadline. Non-Owner members are asked to contact a workspace Owner instead.
If the deadline passes before payment succeeds, the card shows Business access suspended. Select Update payment method to restore Business — Cogno does not offer a new checkout while the existing Subscription can still recover.

Start a new Subscription after one ends

After a Business Subscription ends, Current plan shows Free again. Select Upgrade to Business and choose a billing interval to start a new Subscription.
