Microsoft Teams

At a glance

Connect Microsoft Teams and Cogno reads your channels’ activity, using it as workspace context and turning actionable messages into proposed tasks. Because Teams consent is tenant-wide, an admin sets it up once for the whole organization.

Before you start

  • You can open Settings in the target workspace.
  • You can sign in to Microsoft as a tenant admin to grant app consent.
Teams connects through Microsoft admin consent, not a personal login. If you’re not a tenant admin, ask one to complete the connection.

Connect Microsoft Teams in Cogno

1

Open the Teams integration

Open Settings → Integrations and select Microsoft Teams.
2

Grant admin consent

Click Connect Teams. Cogno opens Microsoft’s admin-consent screen; sign in as a tenant admin and approve.
3

Confirm the connection

Back in Cogno, the Connection section shows your Microsoft tenant. Use Re-authorize later if the grant needs refreshing.

Turn on event listening

New connections don’t ingest anything until you switch listening on.
1

Open Event listening

In the Event listening section, review the toggle (status shows Active or Off).
2

Enable it

Turn the switch on to start receiving messages, channel updates, and member changes from Teams.

Browse teams and users

  • Teams lists the teams and channels in your tenant; expand a team to see its channels.
  • Users lists the people in your Microsoft tenant.

Disconnect

Under Disconnect, click Disconnect Teams to remove Microsoft Teams from this workspace.
